38 classes run the completion of the second phase of the MEDITES project, in Nice

The MEDITES project (Méditerranée Diffusion des Techniques et des Sciences 2014/2014), labelled “Investissements d’Avenir”, consists in bringing scientific culture to young people of the Alpes Maritimes and the Var departements, in France.

Researchers, engineers, PhD students, scientific communicators, museums staff and other outreach actors of the PACA (Provence Alpes Maritimes Côte d’Azur, France) region have teamed up to offer different learning paths to the secondary school students socially or territorially distant from the scientific culture.

The end of the 2nd phase (2015/2016, link news 2) of the project was celebrated during the MEDITES Forum, on the 26th and 27th May 2016, at the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, on the lawn of Valrose campus.

These two days were run by students of 38 classes of secondary school who participated in the project during the academic year 2015/2016. The students presented their works, inspired by the learning paths followed in the context of MEDITES, to their colleagues and to the scientists who visited their stands.

A real success! Whether young or old, all exchanged around science in a lively and festive atmosphere.
